Andrew T. “Tom” Gorham is a partner at Gillam & Smith LLP. Tom has spent much of his 20 year legal career litigating cases (especially patent cases) in the Eastern District of Texas. Early in his career, Tom clerked for Judge David Folsom, formerly Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Texas. Following that clerkship, Tom clerked for former Eastern District of Texas Chief Judge Robert M. Parker on the Fifth Circuit, and thereafter clerked for Judge Thomas M. Reavley, also on the Fifth Circuit. Tom was later a principal at Judge Parker’s private firm in Tyler, Texas. Before joining Gillam & Smith in July 2019, Tom was at Fish & Richardson in Dallas, where he had been a principal since 2013, again with a focus on Eastern District of Texas patent litigation. Tom previously served as a member of the Eastern District of Texas Local Rules Advisory Committee. He received his law degree from the University of Texas and his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech.
